James Hanson, senior site manager at Plum Meadow in Pershore, achieved a significant milestone by securing a first NHBC award for Piper Homes. Out of a competitive field of UK regional site managers, distinguishing himself as one of 38 awarded this prestigious accolade for their exceptional work this year.

James was further honoured with the highly coveted Seal of Excellence and the Regional Award, his achievements earning him a place in the ultimate competition in house building—the Pride in the Job Supreme Awards. The winners will be announced at a prestigious gala ceremony in London scheduled for January. James Hanson, reflecting on this achievement, stated ‘I was over the moon to win the Quality award but to then go on and win the seal of excellence and then the regional award was a moment I will never forget. These awards are very important to the construction industry as they encourage sites to perform at their best, which in turn builds a good quality home for customers. I couldn’t have done this without my great team of sub-contractors on site, who from day one have worked with me every day to produce great work, and made the day to day running of the site very enjoyable. We now head to London in January for the Supreme awards to see if we can further our chance once more.
